Listen actively when others are speaking
Learn about fellow members' businesses and needs
Value diverse perspectives and experiences
Ask thoughtful questions and show genuine interest

O - Open & Optimistic

Welcome new members warmly and inclusively
Keep an open mind to new opportunities and connections
Maintain a positive, optimistic attitude
Include everyone in conversations and activities

O - Outstanding Professionalism

Maintain appropriate business conduct at all times
Respect confidentiality when information is shared
Follow through on commitments made to fellow members
Represent your business with integrity and authenticity

P - Participate & Partner

Participate actively in meetings and activities
Partner with others to create mutual value
Put mobile phones away and focus on face-to-face connections
Build genuine relationships rather than just selling

Zero Tolerance Policy

Loop has zero tolerance for behaviour that makes any member feel unwelcome, unsafe, or discriminated against.

Absolutely Unacceptable:

  • Racist, sexist, homophobic, or any other discriminatory language or behaviour
  • Harassment, bullying, or intimidation of any kind
  • Offensive comments about someone’s background, appearance, beliefs, or personal circumstances
  • Hate speech or prejudiced remarks targeting any individual or group

Also Unacceptable:

  • Aggressive sales tactics or spam
  • Disruptive behaviour during presentations or activities
  • Sharing confidential information without permission
  • Attending any meeting under the influence of intoxicating substances
  • Any behaviour that creates a hostile environment for others

Consequences

Members who breach this code of conduct will face:

For serious breaches (including discriminatory behaviour, harassment, or hate speech):

  • Immediate removal from the meeting
  • Permanent exclusion from all Loop events
  • No refund of membership fees

For other breaches:

  • Informal discussion with Loop organisers
  • Formal warning
  • Temporary suspension from meetings
  • Permanent exclusion for repeated violations

Reporting Concerns

If you experience or witness behaviour that goes against this code of conduct, please speak to a Loop organiser immediately or contact us privately through our website. Let's keep Loop the brilliant, welcoming networking community we all enjoy!
